From The Heart of Africa...
For Legacy. For Posterity.

About What’s Your Story Africa

What began as a primetime television show, What’s Your Story?, evolved into the What’s Your Story Africa podcast and has grown into something more expansive: a trusted space that brings people into honest, reflective dialogue about life, leadership, work, and the journeys that shape us.

Through long-form conversations, live podcast recordings, and curated convenings, the platform captures the human experiences behind impact, influence, innovation, and change across Africa and beyond.

By holding space for these conversations, What’s Your Story Africa documents Africa’s evolving story through human experiences, preserves moments, perspectives, and insights that might otherwise be lost, and creates a record not just of progress, but for posterity.

What distinguishes What’s Your Story Africa is its emphasis on depth over performance. Conversations are not rushed or reduced to soundbites; guests are invited to speak as people first, reflecting on turning points, values, failures, growth, and the moments that shaped who they are.

The platform moves fluidly between formats:

• Podcast conversations and interviews
• Live recordings and intimate audience sessions
• Curated, high-trust gatherings around shared themes

At the heart of What’s Your Story Africa is a belief that stories create connection—and that when people feel seen and heard, more meaningful conversations become possible.

Catherine Mwangi founded What’s Your Story Africa. Her role is not simply that of a host. She is the convener and listener, shaping the space, guiding the conversation, and holding room for stories to unfold with honesty and care. Her approach is grounded in curiosity, empathy, and lived experience. Rather than leading with titles or outcomes, she leads with presence, allowing conversations to move beyond performance into something more human, reflective, and lasting.

Through What’s Your Story Africa, Catherine continues her lifelong commitment to storytelling—not just as content, but as a way of bringing people together for meaningful conversations that create lasting impact.

Beyond the studio lights and microphones, I have dedicated myself to mentoring the next generation of storytellers and communicators. Whether it’s guiding young people finding their voice, equipping professionals with tools to speak with confidence, or coaching TV presenters, podcasters, and leaders to sharpen their craft, I see mentorship as legacy work.

My goal is not just to prepare others for careers in media, but to help them step into their purpose, so they can shape conversations and communities with courage and clarity. Our 2026 mentorship sessions will open up in February.

This transformation trilogy was born from the seasons in my life when I finally stopped running, sat with myself and realized how much I had been carrying.

In that stillness I understood the story I was holding about myself, and how deeply it was shaping the way I lived, loved, worked and showed up in the world.

MaaS Event

This live podcast recording brings together MSMEs, manufacturers, and investors for a practical conversation on the dual pillars of modern African industry: Contract Manufacturing (a form of Manufacturing as a Service, or MaaS) and Commodity Trading and Exchange.

The session will demonstrate how leveraging Contract Manufacturing allows businesses to dramatically reduce capital expenditures, increase production flexibility, and focus on core strengths such as innovation and market penetration.

Simultaneously, the discussion will explore how Commodity Trading and Exchange provides manufacturers with more efficient access to raw materials, transparent pricing, and robust platforms for market access and investment.
